We are very pleased to let you know that the community hall project is underway. Our hall is to be dedicated to CANADA 150; the grand opening will take place at the July 1, 2017 Canada Day celebration. This is an exciting undertaking for all of us in the village!
The provincial government, through the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (P.D.A.P) has contributed generously to the hall project. We do, however, have to raise a significant amount of the monies required to complete the construction of our hall.
Council approved at the December 10, 2016 regular meeting that a letter be sent to all property owners offering the opportunity to make a tax deductible donation to the hall fundraising. There will be a running total on display at the Village office. Recognition of all the donors will be permanently displayed in the hall. Please identify the name(s) you would like on your plaque.
This is a wonderful occasion for us all to be part of a community project that will have a lasting impact on our village. Why not consider a family memorial donation? Let us proudly and generously support the new Saskatchewan Beach community hall.
Please make your cheque payable to Resort Village of Saskatchewan Beach. Donations may be dropped off at the office or mailed to Resort Village of Saskatchewan Beach, Box 220, Silton, SK. S0G 4L0.
On behalf of Council and myself please accept my sincerest Thank You!
Harvey McEwen, Mayor
